Some of you might know/like/remember the cover, character page and first page of my own comic: 'a Wholphin's journey'. Now, I have some things to say about it. This started out as some sort of random brain creation, simply because I had always wanted to make a comic. I absolutely spent no time figuring out the characters, except Brenin a little bit, drew some dolphins that seemed fun to me, threw together a pod without a social structure, feeding methods, allies or enemies and sketched some pages. And oh my word, what was I stupid. I really want to make this comic work, but in order to do that I need to have everything researched and figured out. So that's what I have been doing the past few weeks. I've written all about my own dolphin pod, which are now called the 'Dorre island dolphins,' instead of the 'Shark bay dolphins'. I've written about social structures, how the pod or group was formed, who's in it, hwo old everyone is, why they came to the group, if they have offspring, what they look like, genetics, subspecies, feeding methods and ground, likes, dislikes and all other habits. These improved characters will be the first 'new' things about the comic to appear on here.
About the comic itself; the first page, cover and 'character sheet' will be moved to my scraps as they are no longer needed nor used. Please be patient for the first new character sheets or even pages to appear because I'm trying my best to make this realistic yet interesting. I've also done research on the other animals that live in Shark bay, I even planned Brenin's route and who he will meet! (while reading about wildlife there I realised how stupid I was for putting a Blue shark in the first panel; those guys don't even live there )
Well, I guess that's all, have fun with whatever you're doing and enjoy life!

Hullo hullo,
I figured it was about time for a proper update-journal. It's been more than a year.
First: yes, I have a new avatar - PLEASE DON'T PANIC. It hurts my heart as well to lose the wonderful avatar Ebonenee (https://www.deviantart.com/ebonenee) made for me, what, seven years ago or so? I'm still getting used to seeing the new orca accompanying my comments, and I know that I for one usually have a minor heart attack when someone I've followed for years suddenly gets a new avatar. But trust me, it'll become familiar soon.
Reason for the new avatar is a rather grand one: I've recently quit university so I can devote my full time to (hopefully) making a living as an arti
Help out a friendo!
Hellooo, long time no journal. Unfortunately this isn't much original content, but it is important.
Recently Fresh-Water (https://www.deviantart.com/fresh-water)'s laptop decided to float belly up, meaning she lost all her artwork AND can't use it to make new ones.
Which, as we all know, IS A MAJOR SUCK.
So now she's opened commissions to help pay for a new one. She paints super cute whales and dragons, so check it out!
And if you have a buck to spare, buy one maybe? And if you, like me, don't have a buck to spare ( ;A; ), please help and share this journal!
Muchas gracias,
Namu
Just a quick question about dolphin tutorials
Hi guys! This really belongs in a poll but I can't make those fancy things happen so a journal will have to do.
As the title says, just a quick question. I made this dolphin drawing tutorial some undefinable amount of time ago, and however shitty it was, people seemed to really like it.
Now, I won't be remaking that (even though I really want to whenever I look at it now...) I did have this idea a while back to do like a little series or something of small tutorials/tips sheets. Like, with each focusing on a different aspect of drawing dolphins. So there could be one about markings, one about anatomy, species, eyes, I don't know - all sorts
CURACAO day 2 - Swimming with dolphins!
Hello everybody! After a ludicrously long break of 9 months - we're back with another Curacao journal!
It has been exactly a year since I was in Curacao and met the amazing people and dolphins who changed my life more than I could have imagined for the first time. It definitely doesn't feel so long ago that I first held Machu in my arms or got a kiss from Renata. I'm so sorry for this long break between journals. I definitely didn't intend on it, but these journals take quite a while to make, and many things have happened in the mean time. Not in the least I returned to Curacao for almost 2 months to go back to the dolphins, and had the abso

Interested to see the new, improved comic when it comes out (not that I saw the old one, but anyways)
