Who: Suku
Species depicted: Common bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus)
Location: Curacao, Dolphin Academy

Tools of the trade: Nikon D90
Suku was so busy playing with her newfound friend 'seaweed' that the birds apparently had not even registered. Now one would think that an 8-month-old dolphin would have seen enough frigatebirds and pelicans in her time (because both are absolutely everywhere within the park), but judging by Suku's reaction you would be forgiven for thinking it was her first time seeing any bird at all. She was absolutely captivated, keeping her eyes on the sky, often spinning around to follow a bird that flew past, and vocalising for a good part of the time.
