Heya, we're at the fourth week of birds already! Starting with perhaps two of the strangest bird species on the planet: the Hamerkop and Shoebill. After that it's onto the storks and their relatives, which will continue into next week for a little bit too (and then... flamingoes!!).
Although no days were missed we still have a nice splash of colour going on with the Black stork, which is far more beautiful than their name would ever suggest (the iridescence on those birds is unbelievable). For some reason all the other drawings besides the colour studyfor that species really irked me, even if the (anatomically) virtually identical White stork the next day was really easy. I also had unexpected fun with Abdim's stork, where I did multiple flight silhouette studies for the first time, something I repeated for the White stork. Next week I'll upload something else besides just birds again too, but for now - Enjoy!
All references from ibc.lynxeds.com/ except for the Kenyans amongst the Woolly-necked storks - those were referenced off my own photos from when I saw them amongst the mangrove forests of Funzi Island.

I like that there's that gorgeous colour image of the black stork too. Wonderfully done!
