Description

'"And here is our star of the show... Kirikou!" The voice of the lead trainer sounded loud in the small stadium. Out of the blue (literally), a yellow and black shadow rushed trough the water, only showing a dorsal fin. All of a sudden, he went under, only to return to the surface with a somersault. It was Kirikou, the adult male Short-Beaked Common Dolphin. At the age of 9 he was in the prime of his life. Although he had been living in the marine park for years now, his world seemed grey and dull for him. A ball with stars was thrown towards him, and he caught it. The dolphin swam along the glass to show the ball to the visitors. Even though it all seemed to be going well, Kirikou was everywhere with his thoughts except in his own grey world. He though about deep blue oceans, high waves, and hundreds of thousands of other dolphins surrounding him. He thought of swimming at high speed, chasing fish and making love. "No," he said to himself, waking up from his daydreaming. "It's just a memory..."'

Beautiful drawing but I think to take pictures of cetaceans in captivity you are promoting the dolphinariums. . .
